Looking at the Patriots 2025

5. 2025 draft class: When the Patriots signed cornerback Kobee Minor (aka "Mr. Irrelevant") from the practice squad to the 53-man roster on Thursday, it meant all 11 of their 2025 draft picks are now on the roster (or IR). Add in undrafted free agents Elijah Ponder (outside linebacker), Eric Gregory (defensive tackle), CJ Dippre (tight end) and Chism, and that's 15 rookies overall -- or 28.3% of the roster. That's unusual for a 13-3 team.

Don't forget RB Lan Larison on IR. Larison, Chism and Dippre were my UDFA binkies and the Pats signed them all!!!!!!!!!

Performance vs strength of schedule summarized: How did the Patriots perform compared to the average performance against each opponent?

Answer: On average, the Patriots were more than a touchdown better vs each opponent.

In all but 4 games (Raiders, Steelers, Jets1, and Bengals) the Patriots scored as much or more than the opponents' average points allowed. On average, the Patriots scored 3.9 points more than the opponents' average points allowed.

In all but 3 games (Raiders, Dolphins1, and Bills2) the Patriots allowed fewer than the opponents' average points scored. On average, the Patriots allowed 4.5 fewer points than the opponents' average points scored.

The total average point differential of Patriots vs each opponents' average for the season was that the Patriots averaged +8.4 point differential compared to the average opponent of all teams on their schedule.

Note that to do this correctly, you would have to remove the Patriots from each opponent's average points scored and allowed, but this would only make the difference larger in the Patriots favor.

I would post my table, but I can't seem to do it, at least on the phone. It's pretty simple: score of game, opponents average points scored for and against, subtract as appropriate, sum and average as appropriate.

It hasn't taken one full season before Pats coordinators are being poached?

Since the Pats have been signing Division 1 players last year, there’s a few really good players this year too… ☕

  • Eli Gillman (RB, Montana)
Missouri Valley Football Conference (MVFC)
  • Aidan Bouman (QB, South Dakota)

Man, this is a great Mic'd up video. Mondre is a real class act. He's a quiet enough fellah with the media, but we get to hear him here in action. He seems to have a great relationship with Henderson, what a great 1-2 combo we have there. And all the players seem to like him. And we can see Diggs again, being this great cheerleader for his teammates!
