Looking at the Patriots 2025

All the teams with high rookie snap counts are terrible and/or came on strong during the last part of the season. Except one.
Pats were second on this list for most of the season. NYJ likely snuck past them because they traded pieces and tanked.

This is not something I pay much attention to but would love to look back over the past 5-10 seasons to see how this shook out. I am sure it looks similar based on largely poor W-L records, but curious of there were the occasional outlier like we're seeing this year from the Pats.

Incredible. We have a great offense, all spread around numerous players. And what gives me real hope in the playoffs is that we have a genuine 1-2 in the running game. We all know how vital the run game is in the playoffs when games are tight and the weather is poor. The way our two guys have timed their performance to peak at this time of the year is a credit to them and their coaches.

Agreed!! i think this playoff run will come down to if the defense can get some key stops, and of course turnovers will be massive. i just hope some how our D-Line turns it on the next 4 games

Getting Williams, Tonga, Landry, and Spillane back will matter a lot.

Spillane isn't a DL, but he will make it "improved" because part of an off-ball LB's job is to make the DL in front of him "right." That is, the DL makes choices on how to engage the OL, and (at the simplest level) might, say, end up going right or left of the OG blocking him. The LB makes his reads, but where he goes when he triggers downhill has to be dependant on how the DL/OL battles have gone. Where a bad job doing this from an LB might look on film like the DL didn't maintain his gap discipline, a good LB makes the DL right and it just looks like a good run fit or pass rush lanes.

Spillane is one of the better run stop LBs in the league. He's been missed...a lot.

Really good story by boutte.
I was mad all the time, losing my patience with people. I was doing anything to escape. I started doing drugs. Then I think I sank into a depression.

So how do you escape when none of the escape routes are working?

How do you get that feeling back of competing?

You start gambling.

That’s how I ended up going down a dark road. That’s how I ended up pacing around my apartment at 3 o’clock in the morning, betting on whatever I could bet on at that time of night. I don’t even know….. It honestly didn’t matter. You’re just caught in the cycle.

That’s how I damn near ruined my life.
