Wow…… it’s pretty rare you hear any beat reporter say a bad word about Brown. I know he was injured, but I’m mildly surprised.

Seems more like a Special teamer to me.

I like the moves today. More about what we didn't have though. I said as much the other day I wanted to get another RB, OL, and LBer. I'd maybe hoped one would have been a slightly bigger investment but I suppose that can be something at deadline if we need it.

Also we got some of the guys back to the PS that maybe we would have kept anyway if we hadn't made these trades and claims. None of the moves cost so much that I'd consider anyone is guaranteed here that long. They'll still have to win their jobs to keep them.
 
Milton looked like dogs**t when they played him in the giants game last year.

I always liked Latu when he was with us. I like him especially as a ST player and he can block decently. He appears healthy enough to give our guys a chance to catch up. I wasn't terribly upset we didnt draft him but felt he would have added value via Josh D.

Latu is a developing TE (blocking H-back really) but an accomplished STs player. He played all 4 STs for the Eagles last year. He's had 0 pass targets. Muasau is also a STer.

The New England Patriots announced today that they have claimed TE Cameron Latu (pronounced – LAH-too) off waivers from the Philadelphia Eagles and LB Darius Muasau (pronounced – MOO-uh-sow) off waivers from the New York Giants. In addition, the Patriots announced that have released LB K.J. Britt and C Ben Brown, and they have placed P Bryce Baringer and LB Khalil Jacobs on injured reserve.

The Patriots also signed 12 players to the practice squad: S Mike Brown, WR Kyle Dixon, WR Cameron Dorner, DT Eric Gregory, RB Hassan Haskins, RB Lan Larison, T Lorenz Metz, DT Jeremiah Pharms Jr., OL Jacob Rizy, CB Kindle Vildor, LB Riley Wilson and P Mitch Wishnowsky (pronounced - wish-NOW-ski). Wishnowsky is the only player of that group that was not in camp with the Patriots.

I am assuming most are on the PS.

LB/S/RB on the 53 as well.

GVR, Reed (S), Latu, RB Kiner, Vikings OT (Rouse?), Giants LB (Hawaiian/Polynesian name).

Punter is on PS, but a definite call-up as the only P on the team.

That's 6 on the 53, 1 on the PS. I know I saw at least 2 others on the PS from other teams.

Anyone have a full list of additions from other teams?

Instead of this thread labeled "Iron sharpens iron" should say "other teams castoffs arrive to help."

Guys added in last ~1.5 weeks from other teams:

Trades:
  • Reed
  • Rouse
  • Kiner

Waiver claims:
  • Latu
  • Muasau

Signings to 53 from other teams' cuts:
- Hunter

Signings to PS from other teams' cuts:
  • Wishnowsky
  • Ramirez
  • Kubas

I feel like I'm even missing some guys. But that's at least 9 guys out of around 70 roster spots who weren't in the building two weeks ago, and 6 out of those 9 are on the 53 man roster.
