A year ago, I'd have leaned toward yes. But he didn't show me much with his play to earn the right to shoot his way out of town. Are we seriously going to trade for him?
Are we seriously going to trade for him?
Yeah. I would be ok with that. He will turn 29 in June.I'd be on board with a "disgruntled player" discount.
No higher than a 3rd.
How does his contract look?
I feel he could possibly be an upgrade from Diggs.
...but it's much, much more likely that it would bust or be a very marginal player. But that back end second could be a TE or Guard for the next 8 years, so no thanks.
Good read.Pretty decent breakdown of the Pats TE situation. I hope they do one as well for RB.

Breaking Down the New England Patriots' TE Group For Next Season, and Possible Options | Pats Pulpit
I've really enjoyed doing this, thanks for all of the comments, they have made my day! Players under contract: Hunter Henry, CJ Dippre, Marshall Lang (Futures) Hunter Henry has been a reliable target for the Patriots since arriving back in 2021. I expected him to leave after Bill Belichick...www.patspulpit.com
How long are their arms?A back end third for AJ…… sure. But I wouldn’t be excited. Brown is the type of trade pundits get excited over, but rarely is worthwhile long term. Mike Evans is out there too right? He might have as much left as AJ for a year or 2, comes with a much better attitude, and no picks required. I do sympathize with the argument that the Pats can’t draft WRs, so just trade for one.
But that back end second could be a TE or Guard for the next 8 years, so no thanks. I’d like to keep that and the 1st.

Why? No matter who they pick you'll hate it and carpet bomb us for years with complaints in every thread. The last time you liked a Pats' draft pick Gino Cappelletti was still playing. But that back end second could be a TE or Guard for the next 8 years, so no thanks. I’d like to keep that and the 1st.
According to Phil Perry, the Iggles want a first round pick. Thanks but no thanks.I'd be on board with a "disgruntled player" discount.
No higher than a 3rd.

That’s not true. Why? No matter who they pick you'll hate it and carpet bomb us for years with complaints in every thread. The last time you liked a Pats' draft pick Gino Cappelletti was still playing.
