Mac Jones Is Our QB1

Wonder if the QB decision, amongst others, was incumbent about the teams who might have lost this weekend. This should put the Pats into the 2nd pick I think right? I can't see Kraft and the gang not seeing the writing on the wall and dictating that what needs to be done, needs to be done. I just cannot fathom how the owner wouldn't see where they are right now and what it means for the future.

More to the point, if Spa Day Bob is more worried about tickets sales, merch sales, concessions etc for the next 2 months over the next 10 years..he is being extremely negligent.
Krafty knows business. Organic tanking for one year could equate to another decade of success.

Every NFL team is wealthy. Profit sharing.

Did you break in to Viper stash. Tanking does not lead to decades of Success . They would need to draft Williams & Harrison Jr. Still need more things to go right.

It helps a lot…if you get lucky and not draft Heel Harry type players.
They’re no quick fix for this offense. Unless want a short term Fix. Mortgage the future in picks. Signing every big Name FA to big contracts.
Viper only cares about short cuts & championships. He never watched a game before 2001. They were a treadmill team :coffee:

The major problem is on offense.

Two bookend tackles, a #1 and a #2 WR, and obviously a legit QB. Fill in the rest of the gaps after that…

Via free agency and the draft.

ROFL. Yeah I don't want to be back in pre -01 timelines. Who would? Only sadists like you probably would be okay with it. There are no quick fixes, correct. However you start with this draft with as many assets that you can have. Then, hopefully you can use those picks and assets for the offense and then build from there. I don't want a quick fix, I want to quickly get back on track.

That idea is lost on you and your brethren.

@king of kings the fact you disliked my post, speaks volumes of how much you know about the NFL. You must love being a treadmill team. New flash, most fans aren't. There are many treadmill teams in the NFL you could be a fan of.

It's called be a actual Patriots fan. Supporting the team win or lose. Not only when it's convenient . That why those fans are called Fair weather , Band wagon , Brady Era & pink hats. If that's your fandom find another team

I won't stop watching and I never have. I like football and the Pats are my team and will be forever and I don't want to watch a treadmill team year after year like the dog days of yore. IF I wasn't a fan, I would want them to win a couple more games this year so they would get screwed out of a top pick. Thats what a Jets or Bills fan would want.

See that now?

i accept that some fans want to tank, though i don't agree. but i don't accept that i am not a fan because i want them to win this year.

Fair enough but that's exactly what I would say as a Pats fan to other fanbases. "Sure, your team is 2-8..but I WANT you to win a couple more games". I would want every win that team gets to be extremely painful, much like every win the Cam year was for me personally.

I disagree with winning this year, but if you want them to win games that's fine. Everyone has their opinion, although I disagree with your vehemently because I personally think it isn't in the best interest of this franchise going forward.

Which current college QB would you draft to be our savior? Serious question.

If you have read anything I have posted, you would know it's either a QB, or a very, very valuable asset. You get that right? The top pick, or a top 3 pick is incredibly valuable and while you have a sucky, terrible season...shouldn't you get something extremely valuable out of it? I know I would want that.

I know either Williams, Maye specifically are much, much better QB prospects than Mac ever was. I am leaning even towards Maye even more as time goes on.

Oh my God, shut the fuck up. What a limp dicked post.

Thanks. I simply wanted to know which QB in the draft you preferred and you said Maye. That would have been sufficient without the other stuff.

It doesn't help your team get better if the fan base accepts losing long-term. And people who've been fans of the Celtics, Patriots, and/or Bruins for any real length of time should be well aware of that, given the history of those teams.

There was some chatter in this thread a while back about Mac Jones vs Brock Purdy. I'm still claiming that Purdy is significantly better than Mac.

Purdy is better. He has much better pocket movement and anticipation. He also throws a much better ball than Mac IMO.
