Mayonette (Mayo+Marionette)

We're may not ever see it, but the first time he has firmly disagrees with AVP and makes a move to dig in, a lot of people will learn a lot of things very quickly.

You can say you're the HC and he's the HC of the offense, but if it's not working, it's your name, reputation, and record on the line, not his. The fact that AVP was the HC of the NEP offense is a footnote.

Ridiculous pre-judgement on a guy that is gaining valuable experience in what happens when you respond to
the Boston media candidly. He'll learn to squelch his instincts and give bland answers, but he deserves a
chance to coach this football team, because all HCs start out as question marks.

I'm not planning on passing sentence because Jerod sometimes doesn't carefully craft his in advance to
avoid speaking from the heart. Yet. He's had a few clunkers, but the vast majority of the time he says
exactly what I want to hear.

Time will tell… ☕

Hopefully he’s a better coach than his media appearances.

Mayo - "We're a soft football team across the board"
I'm all for calling out and publicly humiliating your players to push a button but the timing of this is very very bad. When Udoka did this on the Celtics, that is an example of good timing. Not to mention you have the right type of players to do that with, and a coaching staff they respect.

If BB says this, it would matter. When this 🤡 says it, it’s empty and meaningless.

I was actually pretty worried whenever I would hear bill kind of making excuses/rationalizing etc. so to speak for bad performances. what that always meant to me was that his team was soft and he was trying to keep them from going in the tank. I think he was like that in 09 a lot.

And who's fucking fault is that? It's bad enough you only get a handful of padded practices for a season. But he's giving these fuckers days off after blowout losses.

Mayo - "We could've lost all the games"
By this, does he mean that they're terrible and easily could have lost to the Bengals? Or was this the equivalent of saying, "Look on the bright side, it could be worse!"

In either case, that's a bad thing to come out of the mouth of a head coach, so I sincerely hope it was supposed to mean a third thing I can't think of at the moment.

3rd thing...they were lucky to have won one?
