For all my negative comments about the games abroad and the post about Australia, here comes the NFL to Dublin.
And....it's the Steelers.....yay.....
It will be in Croke Park, the home of Gaelic Football and Hurling.
We already have the big college game here at the end of August/Start of Sept so this will be a nice addition.
At least it's just a 5 hr flight to Ireland from the east coast. It will be a major sporting event over here.
I know many of you won't be happy and I understand it and agree with it tbh. It's a huge burden on teams and the fans who give up a home game out of a shower enough season to play thousands of miles away.
The college game we get here is different, it's much more fan centred with 20K plus coming over from the US who really enjoy the week here and it gives the college kids something to remember with it being the first time many of them will have set foot outside the US.
