We get.....the Steelers....

Damn. I was really hoping it would be the Patriots. Surely it would make sense with the deep connection with Boston and the NE region??

We also get the Jags. I do understand the Steelers as the connections with the Rooney family are very deep. But the Patriots would have been very special if we could see them play in Lansdpwne Rad or Croke Park one day.

I don't understand the Australia choices.

There's a Patriots bar in Perth, and I've seen lots of Pats gear in Adelaide.

I have seen Steelers and Packers gear too. I don't recall seeing any Rams or Eagles fans anywhere.

Still shocked that the Pats haven't gone for the UK & RoI - huge Pats fanbases on these isles
Your answers are in your posts. You plant in a prepared field, not where there are already clusters of sprouts. I think the Patriots are #1 in the UK already, and they will remain a presence without it being a named territory. Though I suspect it will be hard for any team to stand up to the push Jacksonville will be making in Britain - especially if they continue to emerge as a contender.

Of all the big world clusters, the #1 cultural match to NFL football that I can see is eastern Europe & Russia. Those currently come with certain...risks to business. I notice that two of the best run, smartest organizations in the NFL are in the closest available proxies: Austria, Germany, and Switzerland. There are already some sprouts in Germany, which is well on its way to embracing American Football. I don't think that's (as) true in Austria or Switzerland, but I don't know for sure.
