Nostalgic Music Thread

I have already listened to this 10 times this morning.
I don't care who you are. Epic.

the drum keeps beating in my head. maybe i am dying, i want to hang around for number 7 though. just mood I am in. I want to run for that door but i can't . Too much responsibility. It is definitely not heaven i am living in. don't come here,

I went to college in the 80's and we listened to lots of Springsteen (saw him twice on the Born in the USA tour). This album was my favorite and I pretty much wore out the grooves of the LP I bought in 1982. It's possibly my most nostalgic song, in terms of bringing me back to a time and place.

In the same time and location window was Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes

Quite popular, but Maybe because Bruce exploded on the scene, he never caught on real big.

I liked them and I liked this song a lot, and I was googling him relative to this post and dang, he's playing Aug 5th at Salisbury Beach, about 8 miles from me. I'll think about it. . Didn't even know they, or some variant of them was still out there.

Cheers

I was never the biggest springsteen fan, but did see him in woooster ,early 80's was a 4 and a half hour concert.
Plywood floors reverberating .
No doubt they earned there money that day

This post is doo-wop. I loved the doo-wop as a genre. Like Robert Klein in his classic comedy album, I am a child of the fifties. The first song is a classic song (not from the era) about doo-wop nostalgia. about a group of men revisiting the joys of their youth where they sang doo-wop together. In the song they mentioned music they sang fom the Moonglows, the Harptones, and the Dells. The remaining songs are one each from those bands.

This is the 1950's, a glorious decade for me in every way.
