And talking about it, Chev. My mom was from farm country in Northern Vermont and grew up on Country/Nashville music on the radio there. That carried over into my childhood. Heard it constantly. When I was four and five, this pair of songs were hugely popular and both crossed over fairly strongly in 1951 and 52. Songs and answer songs were common in country but these two are the unquestioned King and Queen of the answer Genre. Hank Thompson, "The Wild Side of Life: and Kitty Wells, "It wasn't God who made Honkey-Tonk Angels". And I can still sing every word to both of them, though I promise you, you don't wanna listen to me sing. So anyway, this won't likely be Nostalgic for many, but it sure is for me.
