OT: Brag about your Kids thread

After getting her PhD in Pharmaceutical Toxicology 8 yrs ago, my daughter went back for an MS & PhD in Data Analysis 3 years ago. She rose quickly up the ranks within Lifespan Health, now merged with Brown Medical School as Brown Univ. Health.

6 months ago my daughter was the lead author on an application for a $200M research grant in medicine for Brown Univ. Medical School. She 'won' that grant.
Now Brown Univ. Health has asked her to write another grant application for even more money. Big stuff.

Outstanding!

Speaking solely about myself.
I still find it amazing that such a bright light can come from from such a low battery.

Genetics certainly plays a part but equally important is the role model presented and the opportunity given.

We have three distinctly different children; all three born inside of 33 months. One is Mini-Me (youngest, daughter), one is Mini-Lynn (oldest, son) and one is a combo (middle, son).

Similar genetics
Same role models
Same opportunities

WAY different people. WAAAAY. Lynn and I are opposites.

I'm an only child, but just observing my friends and in-laws that have had large families I can also say that for the most part, every child in a family has a "different" set of parents.
