Nice stuff, johnlocke. Geiger first came to my attention when ELP came out with their Brain Salad Surgery album (I'm dating myself here).

Here's my favorite Raphael: Bindo Altoviti.

I LOVE Michael Parks too and because of a dream I once had this new release of his is just UNREAL to me! (the black jag WOW)

I was back on the East Coast last week, and a colleague had this poster from the Boston Museum of Fine Arts on the wall in his office.

I saw this today in a NY Times article about art.

It's part of the permanent collection at the Boston MFA, one of the great museums of the world.

It's a place worth visiting multiple times if you're a resident of the area.

Yesterday's post was due to a visit to the Santa Barbara Museum of Art, which has a few prints from the "100 Aspects of the Moon" series.

The museum also has a nice selection of sculpture.

There's a copy of Remington's "Mountain Man"

Another really nice piece is from Aristide Maillot - "Bather Putting Up Her Hair"

One of the featured pieces is in the main entrance, a statue of Hermes. According to the docent, it's a Roman copy of a Greek work.
