Now that the Pats have week 8 in the books and sit at 7-0 time to sit back on Sunday and root for the teams that will help our positioning for the division and HFA.

So let's go Raiders (playing Jets). Game is in Oakland. I suspect a let down from Jets after they played their first Super Bowl on Sunday.

Let's go Steelers (playing Cincy). I hate to root for the Steelers for any game but we need Big Ben to steal this one.

Let's go GB (playing Denver). Rodgers needs to bring his A game and take this game in Denver. Over/under on how many picks Manning throws? I am putting at 3.

The Raiders are improved. The cross country trip and mental let down will be a big test for the Jets. Is there any status on Sheldon Richardson? He left the game with what looked like an arm injury.

Go Raiders, go Pack. Would love to see some more distance on the Jets and of course the Donkos take a loss.

Steelers, that's tough. I'm impressed by the Bengals so far. But they are the Bengals. I suppose that's one of those games where neither outcome would be terrible. I don't expect Cincy to roll undefeated much longer either way, and the Steelers are a team that can win on the road in January.

As much as I despise the Steelers I want them to annihilate the Bungals.

Green Bay will beat Denver and Denver's slide will start on Sunday.

I think the best game of the weekend might be the Jets @ Oakland, obviously pulling for the Raidahs.

I won't be watching any football until Sunday night and we'll be rooting for the Pack.

It is a math problem. Whatever is best for the Patriots to be the #1 seed and have a 1st round bye in the play-offs, I am all for it. Losses by the Denver Broncos and the Cincinnati Bengals would be a positive for the Patriots on that front. I don't really want the Pittsburgh Steelers to win either, but something has to give. Losses for the Indianapolis Colts, Baltimore Ravens and the New York Jets always make me happy.

It doesn't matter who wins or loses this weekend. None of these teams are a threat to the Pats anyways so it's all irrelevant.:coffee:

this^^^

I want the Steelers to lose because Steelers

I want the Jets to lose because Jets

I want the Donkeys to lose because Donkeys

I feel the same way.

The Bengals are the biggest threat to us getting the #1 seed. The Bengals play the Steelers twice, at AZ, the Rams and at Denver coming up on their schedule. I'd like to see at least 2 losses & hopefully 3 there so a loss to the Steelers would be a good start. BTW, I don't think the Bengals will fade this year as in past years because of Marvin Lewis. His coaching staff is good this year.

So I want losses to the Bengals, Jets and Broncos because that helps the Pats the most.

I'll wait until the playoffs to make my call on this.

Yup, a win by the Steelers and Green Bay puts the Patriots up a game on Cincinnati and Denver, with Denver still to play.

We don't play Cincinnati, so we have to rely on other teams to do our dirty work.

Also, the Jets SUCK in Oakland historically. Suck. Even when the Jets are good and the Raiders are terrible they still lose. Hell, this goes all the way back to the Heidi Game.

Jets lose, Patriots are 3 full games up on the rest of the division, with tiebreakers on all three teams, with 9 games to play. :coffee:

Any of you guys looking at the Giants game and wondering if that might be the spark that gets them going. Like win or lose they just tear up the NFC after they play us.

Is this Mazzerotti?

The outcome I want is for you to top off the car and get on 95W. Drive to Cali. Make a new home.

Not a bad position to be in this early in the season!

I want to see the Jets embarrassed worse than the 45-3 Buttfumble game.

I believe they will struggle at Oakland. They historically don't play well there and I think they will have a let down from playing the Pats on top.
