Pat McAfee Is Pretty Good...

Yeah, he's saying what Brady said, hell, what so many of us have been saying. Everyone runs the same offense in college, and it's not a pro-style offense. Fewer training camp practices, fewer padded practices, fewer preseason games - how the hell are these kids ever supposed to succeed?

Which is exactly why Drake Maye is waiting his turn.

and i agree with that part, what is not good is that they have this year to build this team for him next year and they didnt do it IMO

The good news is that offensive linemen can learn their assignments much quicker than a QB can. Plenty of rookie O linemen have been successful, even for BB.
WR? Use some of that wasted surplus cap this year to pick up a great one in free agency.

Our's seemingly can't :banghead:

We didn't pick good or healthy ones.

Or those that fit the WCO/wide zone thing we were supposed to be adopting. Going back to last year we have taken Sow, Mafi, Wallace and Robinson and
all of them fit an inside zone philosophy much more. I haven't seen a statistical breakdown, but my guess is we have virtually quit trying it for the 2nd
year in a row, because we can't.

I could add that the wide zone scheme makes sense if you have a young QB that might be really excellent at a complementary RPO component, but that
just adds a layer of puzzlement to the personnel acquisition, including the free agent additions.

At the risk of picking some low-hanging fruit, we don't really look like we have a plan.
