I went back and watched it. Ryan Clark laid it on him. Dirty dirty cheap hit if you ask me. Totally reminded me how much I used to hate the Steelers in those days.
 
Still haven't heard anything, leads me to believe they're still thinking about it.
I will say, apparently Pep Hamilton had a really good interview. Not that he's the guy, he's not, just thought it was interesting. 🤷

This sounds like Vrabel's agent talking to Tom Pelissero.
Hopefully the leaky faucet that is 1 Patriots Place gets fixed after this. Ben Johnson must be pissed for wasting his time.

Yup. Kraft doesn't like to act without having a plan in place.

I think they worked it all out before the last game of the season.

Vrabel then got permission and took the interview with the Jets to make his side look legitimate. Why hasn't he interviewed with anyone else?

They fired Mayo after the game so that they could get the show going as quickly as possible. They rushed through the Rooney Rule to get it out of the way.

And then they requested Johnson, because it would look bad if they didn't since he's the hot candidate.

When they were criticized for Leftwich and Hamilton, they hastily put in the request for Glenn to make themselves look better. Glenn saw their bullshit.

They got Johnson yesterday so have to appear to take time to mull it over.

The contract talk leaks are part of the reveal and make it seem like they are trying to work it out rather than just announcing him over the weekend.

That should come Monday or Tuesday I think.

I could be crazy and wrong too, but this is what it feels like to me.
