Patriots 2025 head coach search

I'm excited about Vrabel coming here, I have to admit. I'm pretty happy to be feeling like this, as I was so down about the team all season. I think Vrabel will change a lot and get the team on the right footing. A lot will depend of course on the arrangement he is able to get with the Krafts.

Yup. Kraft doesn't like to act without having a plan in place.

I think they worked it all out before the last game of the season.

Vrabel then got permission and took the interview with the Jets to make his side look legitimate. Why hasn't he interviewed with anyone else?

They fired Mayo after the game so that they could get the show going as quickly as possible. They rushed through the Rooney Rule to get it out of the way.

And then they requested Johnson, because it would look bad if they didn't since he's the hot candidate.

When they were criticized for Leftwich and Hamilton, they hastily put in the request for Glenn to make themselves look better. Glenn saw their bullshit.

They got Johnson yesterday so have to appear to take time to mull it over.

The contract talk leaks are part of the reveal and make it seem like they are trying to work it out rather than just announcing him over the weekend.

That should come Monday or Tuesday I think.

I could be crazy and wrong too, but this is what it feels like to me.
Then Vrabel declines the offer, saying "Yeah, I'm going to come work for you when you treated Bill like THAT? Kindly step back and FUCK YOUR OWN FACE!"

Who would we hire then?

Outside of New England, most people don’t view Kraft as having done BB wrong.

That’s so 1000000% incorrect that it’s goddamn hilarious. Please explain to us why NFL Films reacted the way that it did about the “documentary” that Kraft owns.

The entire NFL and many of its fans know how Kraft backstabbed BB.
Very fucking obvious.

Pretty much .and if other fans don't view him as having been done wrong by kraft it's because they don't give a shit about the patriots and don't know anything about that documentary among other things. I mean how many of us pay that much attention to that much detail about other teams. not too many of us.

All I got was 'The search is complete', so they're not interviewing anyone else.
Although it can also mean they don't intend to do an in-person with Ben Johnson at any point, so it's Vrabel then. Good luck, Mike, you've got your work cut out for you.

Would love to know what contract talks involve: "No days off", "Work at least 80 hours a week", "Obligatory media appearances", "Work with young aggressive alpha males", "Be hated by large parts of New England when we lose".

"Excellent. Where do I sign up?"
That's in the smaller print, right after the small print. It gets read really fast like a car commercial over the radio.
