Patriots Offensive Line Issues

Doesn't it really say it all that after drafting the fastest wr avaliable they had to put a CB in on offense to run a simple bubble screen.
Thornton is being taught a lesson by the coaches. Thornton has been loose with the ball.
Not that I agree with that tough love/ negative approach when you see the results in Miami.

  • The Pro Bowl rookie QB goes from elite against the blitz to worst among NFL starters
Can we stop calling him a Pro Bowler already, it's so blatantly disingenuous ... He was roster filler and got in as a 3rd alternate :ROFLMAO:

It is a shame that Patricia has a dog house the size of a Marriott. Combine it with his Napoleon complex and you end up with a full hotel. Not the first time for him as we all have read. BB needs to make the change.

No reason to wait either if the coach is out there.

Thornton needs to be on the JUGS machine on a regular basis. Well, so does Agholor too... :coffee:

Ripley's Believe It Or Not
PFF ranks the Pats' OL as the 6th best in the NFL thus far

6. New England Patriots (No Change)

  • Against one of the league’s best pass rushes, the Patriots' offensive line allowed only 11 pressures on 41 passing plays.
  • Michael Onwenu let up 25% of his pressures this season (two) against Buffalo last week.
Upcoming Opponent: Arizona Cardinals
  • The Cardinals blitz on 41.3% of their snaps, the third-highest rate in the league. J.J. Watt leads the team with 42 pressures, although most of Arizona's threat comes up the middle.

Cole Strange has bounced back. For the year he's allowed very low pressure rate of only 5% (18/399). 10% is starter quality & 15% is average according to Paul Alexander.

New England Patriots: OG Cole Strange, Chattanooga

Overall Rookie Grade: 50.0 (Rank: 8/14)
Principal Opponent: Ed Oliver
Week 13 Snaps: 54

Strange allowed one pressure and was called for a penalty back on Thursday night against the Bills. He also had three more pass-blocking losses that didn’t get a chance to become pressure, which impacted his grade. Though he has been far from elite this season, given the opposition he has faced, Strange has held up well as a starter, allowing only 18 pressures on 399 pass-blocking snaps.

good

but the Bills game was a bit misleading for the whole OLine. I think it counted 1 or 2 official sacks all game but anyone who saw the game live saw Mac running for his life most snaps. OLine couldn’t give him more than 2 seconds. But looks like he was taught to throw it away more or run it to make the sack numbers look lower
