Patriots vs Chargers 8:15 PM Sunday 1/11/26 NBC

Illness going through the locker room. Moses, Bradbury, Lowe and Jennings DNP for illness. It is flu season, hopefully doesn’t spread.

We are a plus 170 point differenatal
Chargers a plus 28
We have a better home record than they do on the road
It will be cold and a differet time zone for an LA team.

Unless we simply blow iit, should be Pats 28 Chargers 17

While this is an obvious statement, i think it will be close and be decided by turnovers or other costly mistakes. Question is who will make those mistakes. Herbert is currently viewed as a playoff chocker and maye is in his first playoff game
Also if ref’s F it up, but being home team i would lean towards pats getting the break(s) but we will see

Better QB in 2025, at home, going to be cold, west coast team in the eastern time zone, it's up to us not to mess it up, it's all there for us to win this.

Yes, a few turnovers would blow all that for us.

I expect Jim Harbaugh to feed his running backs, (his brother told him to) and it’s up to the Pats defense to stop it.
Last week; The Chargers defense kept the Denver offense down until some late scores. Chargers got zero help from their QB.

Am expecting a 23-20 type game. Either team winning.
Hope it doesn’t rain.

Herbert throws a nice ball, and he's kept the Chargers afloat this year. But he hasn't shown the ability to raise his game (or even keep it at the regular season level) in the playoffs.

His career playoff record is 0-2, and in those two games he posted a 52% completion percentage with 2 TDs and 4 Ints.

That's not a lot of games for a supposed MVP-caliber quarterback now in his sixth full season. A QB who has never led the league in anything. His reputation isn't backed up by anything he's accomplished.

I've seen Herbert panic and get too excited. That's when he plays hero ball and makes mistakes.
