I'm going with TreVeyon, mostly because of the jump I'm hoping he's going to make in the passing game. Neither James White or Vereen were effective in their first full season either, but made huge jumps.

I picked Will Campbell because he was playing great until he injured his knee and when he came back he was not the same player. He also has a tremendous heart and is very smart.

Just based on what I've read on this forum so far we can shorten the list.
Jacas should be cut for holding out. After the first practice, Williams sucks. Boutte should be traded. Campbell still has short arms. Henderson said something wrong about something.
I'll have to decide amoung the remaing players,

I would argue some on that list had their breakout years last year.

And in that vein I'm going to pick someone not on that list who probably already broke in with previous teams too.

Dremont Jones I think will have double digit sacks in his role. Barmore and Milt will take all the heat. And Dremont is a solid enough vet to take advantage of that and up his production.

Plus I thought he and Boutte stood out to me when I was there the other day.

Since this is all for fun, I put my "homer hat" on and voted Campbell. Not because I necessarily believe in my bones it will be him, but because I want it to be him. If he breaks out the way we hope he will, we're in contention for new hats and t-shirts.

They did, and it seemed silly to add Maye to the list given he was an MVP winner candidate last year, but can you have another breakout year? I think his ceiling is so high that he can, especially having a 2nd straight year with the same OC and more weapons. We respect him, but I don't think the league does necessarily, especially after his playoff performances.

Think it was Bedard that said Campbell spent his first year playing the position as a "catcher". Same as he did in college. And now in camp Campbell is using a more of a punching style.

My sleeper pick is Efton Chism III.

I also believe Brown will be a beast. I think he is poised to have the best season of his career with Maye slinging it to him.

I'm intrigued by what I'm hearing about DE Swinson, but it's nothing I've seen for myself, so I suspect it's wishful thinking/propaganda.

It would be kind of amazing if Jacas and Landry being out ended up helping to solve the edge problem by getting Ponder and Swinson the reps they need to develop into viable guys.

Not to mention the Patriots Derangement Syndrome. But to be breakout player of the year, he would need to lead us to SB Title #7, right? Then my response here could later be read on Seven Ring Circus.
