Perseverence Mars rover scheduled to land today. Live coverage has begun I think. Landing Successful!

They don't call it "sci-fi" for nuttin'...

Ever notice the rod on the top of the flag? :coffee:

Do you have a source where NASA admits that?
Yup... :coffee:

I found a few different sources. Obviously, they're in archived video form posted above. Kubrick (in black beard) was paid to film the "moon landing". WvB was also in there as well. A glimpse of Tricky Dick on his trusty land line phone :)coffee:) and Neil Armstrong. Neil isn't a very chatty dew...

This is OLD news...we should be debating the TR-3B's (look them up). They've been around at least since the 1990's. Probably even way earlier than that.

I will agree that there's weird shit going on above us (they're NOT shiny Doritos flying around either). Absolutely. Make sure to watch the last minute or two of this video. I've seen these numerous times. I have witnesses too.

Those Phoenix lights in 1996 (I lived there when that happened)...and I missed the event. :(

TR-3B's.

The TR-3B(s) blew up that Lebanon grain silo recently too. The video above isn't it...still looking for it. They might have took it down. I've seen it though.

So this is a pretty big deal.

That is really cool. I've been slacking off in checking for recent stuff from Mars because things seem to be going very slowly, but they seem to be
figuring it out.
Here's the actual video of the flight.

Nice! Thank you. I suppose we should all applaud the fact that we can do such a thing, but we're so spoiled by our own tech that it's hard to not wish for instant live feeds. I gotta remind myself that this is approximately 40 million miles away and we have to manage the datastream, do everything with a big lag time and plan it to the Nth degree.

I only recently learned that wind isn't the factor it is on Earth due to the thin atmosphere, but I wonder what the plan is for dust storms which can be quite destructive and sudden, I believe. I assume that the drone will dock on Perseverance and they'll pull into a parking garage for the duration. Or something. I need to study up on the plan, which I'm quite ignorant of at the moment.

Anyhow, a well done first flight.
