If you are having pop up advertisement issues, or other related javascript issues, please post here.

Please include OS, Browser, and anything else that might be relevant.

I am not having the issue on Win 7, and tried Chrome 57, IE 11, and Firefox 52. I briefly was able to get some popups on chrome on my android, but haven't had them in hours.

I have disabled a ton of things on the board trying to track this down, but not able to recreate myself makes it exceedingly difficult.

If you have any tech chops and can determine WHERE or WHAT is launching the pop-up, that would help immensely.

I was getting them this morning but they seem to be gone now.

I'm still getting pop-ups saying Adobe flash is out of date but the pop-ups are from 3rd party purveyors rather than Adobe.

Next 1 I get I'll save the url for u

I was getting them yesterday, though my firewall stuff blocked most of them. Windows 10, Edge browser. Edit to add that they are gone today.

I logged out and logged back in...they haven't bothered me in the last 1/2 hour. :toast:

iMac/Firefox

I'm on a Mac. (macOS Sierra 10.12.4) I never saw pop ups using Safari, but I recently had to switch to Firefox. (52.0.2 64 bit) For the last several days I saw a lot of pop ups under Firefox, but I'm good just now. You might have done something right.

I'm on an Android phone using chrome as my browser. Getting popups saying I've won some free shit, but mostly I keep getting a pop-up asking me to confirm I'm not a robot.

I think it's become self aware because it popped up 3 seperate times while trying to post this in what I can only assume was an attempt to prevent me from posting information to help combat the pop-up.

In other words. It's become self aware and future generations will blame us for not stopping it when we had the chance.

Can you see if Video Poker in the Casino works for you?

When I tested on my android with Chrome first thing this morning, that was happening to me as well, but no longer.

Can you try closing out all your chrome tabs and re-opening?

Been getting a ton yesterday and today using safari on my iphone. Most say Congrats, You've won a billion dollars (including when I opened this thread).

Yes. I'll keep you posted.

Hope so.

My best guess is old Google Analytics Java that I had installed.

For the record, today I disabled:

Google Adsense.
Google Analytics.
Flashchat
VB Moods.
Top Ten Posters.
Proxy Alert (a mod to discourage invalid spam registrations)
Welcome headers for those who have not posted in awhile.
Some sort of Yahoo java that I am not sure what it is used for. Didn't disable it, but found a file with a date of 4/8/17, so I renamed that file to see if anything broke without it.

If we can get most people reporting free of the issues, I'll slowly start re-enabling things.

Like Chevs, can you try the close/logout/clear and log back in and see if there is a difference?

I was getting them yesterday on my laptop, Windows 10-Firefox. They were ads for a game and warning that my computer was infected with a virus, the usual stuff I get when I try to stream something. I ran all my anti spyware stuff and still had the problem. I logged off and back on and still had the problem. I forgot what thread it was, but it was around 10:00 PM. No problem at work today.

Video Poker not working - message says "This game is AJAX powered and requires javascript to be turned on", the start button doesn't feel clickable.

I'm getting them if I click anything on the site. It is keeping me away. Rejoice..

Not good.

Have you closed, cleared, and restarted things?

I re-enabled the Yahoo java thing. Can you try again? (and when was the last time it worked?)

Video poker is working again but the Russian ladies are now back again too. Probably a couple of years since I played vid poker.

I'm getting major pop up adds
Using IPad with Chrome browser

Hey now, well that was a great test.

Okay, renamed the file again just like I did last time. If you still have issues, please clear/close/restart, etc...

For those on Windows 10/Edge, it appears this breaks some Casino, most notably Video Poker. We'll have to work around that for now until we can figure out what the hell this is.

For the record, the directory is "yui" and the offending file is named connection-min.js and has a modify date of April 8 2017 12:41 pm.
