Pop ups and other randomness

Does this just run automatically after you download it? How does it work in conjunction with Safari?

I could not find a free version when it was first posted. They all seemed to want $ to block ads

I use Opera at work and the pop ups do not appear

I didn't know about this thread and posted another about this. I'm getting slammed today on my laptop with Windows 7/Firefox, but not with Explorer. Redirects to scam things telling me my Firefox needs to be updated, porn sites called c*nt.com, all kinds of crap, seemingly when I click any link on this site.

It's making my antivirus pop up and tell me that threats have been secured and a couple times I had trouble getting out of the redirect windows and had to use the task manager to close them.

All of a sudden I'm getting slammed with pop ups. Macbook Pro using Firefox. wtf?

AdBlock Plus is free and stops all of it for me. I also have Privacy Badger which is also free.

it does run automatically. When you install it it will direct you to Safari settings where you check two boxes to configure it. It also works on MacOs.

I hate downloading extensions, but got pissed off enough to try AdBlock Plus.

It was a quick download and so far has worked perfectly. I can't seen any downside to it, so far.

Thanks for the tip!

I just added besti.ga as a trusted URL and I'm still getting constant warnings everytime I click on something here. What gives?

I'm running privacy badger and adblock plus. No problems at all.
