This just makes me so damn sad.

RIP, Dwight Clark.

After a short but horrid course of ALS, Clark died at 61 with his wife and a few of his beloved 49er team mates around him. This is sad.

So sad to hear. He seemed to be a lovely man and was one hell of a player.

It's no exaggeration, that catch really did start a dynasty. The 49ers were such an awful team up tp that point and Walsh; Joe, Clarke, Lott, Craig, Rice, Bartolo etc. changed that team forever. It's a great story and I always suspect the Niners are many fans favourite 2nd team. They were the one NFC team I never hated anyway!

So sad to hear Tommy cried the whole first half cause he couldn't see the field. :coffee:

Cheers ROFL

I HATE the Cowboys. The Catch is still one of my top 5 NFL plays of all time because of nothing more than the fact that it beat them.

Absolutely terrible news to hear that he has passed.
