A Brilliant man.

Kris Kristofferson "passed away peacefully in his home" in Maui, Hawaii, on Saturday, Sept. 28, Fox News Digital confirmed.

An unbelievable carreer.

From Hollywood reporter,

A native of South Texas, Kristofferson starred in football and rugby and won a Golden Gloves boxing tournament while attending Pomona College in California; earned a Rhodes Scholarship to study literature abroad; and piloted helicopters in the U.S. Army.

This is but the beginning.

I will miss him dearly, except I have (i think) all of his music.

Missed this till just now when I saw Tiproast's post in Nostalgic music. Thanks Tip.

He had a minor role in Mel Gibson's movie Payback, but he did a fine job with it. However, the director's cut version of that movie is quite a bit different than the original release, and Mr. Kristofferson does not appear in the director's cut.

I never knew that. I like that flick.

Another role folks may forget he played was that of Whistler in Blade. Certainly a tiny footnote on a massive career of achievements but a total badass character, nonetheless.
