If you knew that you were going to be fired, why show up? Oh wait, he never did.
He Averages 70/1,100/8 a season but he’s not good? I guess .Also, the idea that Mike Evans is probably the most consistently productive, yet most unimpressive WR of the past decade. For years and years I could not understand why people think he's good and still don't.
He's basically a guy that produces off the rule changes because of his size. But, I'd rather have Edelman all day long and twice on Sundays than ever thinking about wanting Mike Evans on my team.
Wildly overpaid and overrated. He needs to thank Brady and Goodell for his SB ring last year. The least underserving SB winning team in my lifetime during a pandemic. Blech. So unimpressive.
Exactly my point. I have never seen a more unimpressive version of that in 40 years of watching the NFL. He’s soft and disappears vs good competition. Bloated numbers do not impress me in an offensive era.He Averages 70/1,100/8 a season but he’s not good? I guess .

It’s why our teams shuts him out every 4 years.
Get it?
Disagree. Invisible. Soft as hell. Stats production in an offensive league is borderline meaningless because everyone produces. He was the 4th or 5th most productive WR in the league in 2019 with Jameis Winston as his QB. He was top 10 every year before Brady got to Tampa last year.
He had 7 consecutive seasons of 1,000 yds receiving...no one else has ever done that.
No. One. Ever.
I'd take him in a heartbeat on the Pats.
You have very strong opinions but that those opinions don't mean you're right.
He's been a very good and very productive player.
I'm glad you're not scouting for the Pats.
i don't know if i'd want him on the pats, but he's quite talented.I wish Evans was on the Pats...if someone is talking about him. He's one of the best in the NFL.

This is like saying Frank Gore has a memorable run in his entire career. He doesn't. No one can list one memorable Frank Gore moment or run in his entire career, but fantasy dorks love Frank Gore. I really don't care about good players when comparing them to elite players. They're not elite. They're good. I am sure fantasy dorks love Mike Evans, too. I watch football and can see who needs to be gameplanned for and who doesn't. A middling or weak D opponents' dream for these kinds of players. Extra yards might be the most meaningless stats in modern sports history. Fantasy stats don't mean jack squat. Go ask BB about stat accumulation and or sack accumulation for defenders.
I wouldn't take him at his money in a million years on this team. Not Patriot material. I am not trying to be right. That's my opinion. I can have one. Evans is like Brandin Cooks. You look up and you see production you realize how meaningless that production was. lmao
At best, it means they should up for work and were consistent. Consistently solid. That's not elite. Not even close. No one will ever remember Mike Evans.
Mike Evans might be the most overrated player of the last decade on offense next to LeSean McCoy and each will tell you how great they are. I pick Joey Bosa on defense. JJ Watt a close second. Stat accumulation isn't football.
That makes absolutely zero sense. 7 consecutive seasons of at least 1,000 yards are bloated stats? I guess he only gets all those catches, yards & TDs in garbage time.Exactly my point. It doesn’t make sense? This is like saying Andre Johnson was a great player. Can you name memorable Andre Johnson plays or was he just a big target who produced in an offensive league? That makes absolutely zero sense. 7 consecutive seasons of at least 1,000 yards are bloated stats? There are a gazillion WRs in this league who have high stat production who aren’t gamers.
I want gamers. Either you get the sport or you don’t.
Here’s a guy who blows away Mike Evans:
Tyler Lockett
I would take that guy on my team all day long over Mike Evans. He runs all the routes and has great hands and isn’t soft.
Completely agree, although I wouldn’t call these guys “great”.Andre Johnson was a great player. It's not his fault he played for a shitty Texans team most of his career. Just because a player doesn't pass your eye test doesn't make it an absolute.
Had Evans' numbers dwindled with the addition of Brady then you would have an argument, but that wasn't the case. He's been consistent all of his career.
He's definitely overpaid...but, he's very talented though. My opinion of your opinion of Mike Evans says your opinion is wrong.
Seven 1000 yd seasons in a row, something no WR has ever done, with 2nd rate QBs throwing to him is proof that he's elite.
Aaron Dobson was soft. Mike Evans is not soft.
I wouldn't take him at his present money either but money isn't the discussion here which is player production.

Me too. Or, like 60% of these NFL franchises. Jerrah's problem is he isn't as smart as he thinks he is and has proven to be an idiot for 20 years since Jimmy Johnson left. He's like a little boy in a man's body who wants star players everywhere for personal entertainment. It's why they have like only 2 great players on either side of the ball and a bunch of mediocre ones filling in the gaps throughout their top heavy rosters. It's why they're October Champs and losers at the end of the year. Rinse and repeat. So, yeah, I could do better. A lot of us could.I'm struggling to understand how Jerry Jones hasn't overpaid you to come run his football program.
