This is just awful. The NFL is going to lose a ton of fan support. I already don't watch or follow it like I used to.

i have to think that the nfl doesn't care about us "old school fans" at all. they are after the new hotness,fantasy football people,gambling,overseas fans(ironically,they are probably mostly old school like us)etc. all they get from us is love of the game,maybe some ticket and merchandise purchases. and most teams have oodles of people wanting tickets so they can replace that in a heartbeat.
i understand wanting to grow revenue,but there's a point where completely alienating your good, loyal customers is going to bite you in the ass. i'm not sure relying as heavily on "the new hotness" fans will have staying power.

I recall Rex saying to receivers in our weekly team meetings. The game plan was if he line up across from you, double move him every time. So in practice our receivers referred to him as the “DOUBLE MOVE KING”. I never viewed him more than what was said about him in the scouting report.

I try not to disparage former players because many of us would kill to have so much as a sip of coffee in a pro sport, but every time Assante runs his yap, all of his warts as a player come flooding back - and he was a pretty good player for a good stretch. He clearly didn't like it here and is not a personal fan of Bill, but he really comes off as bitter with his incessant rants.

Unless he is getting paid, which I doubt, he is embarrassing himself.

Revis went for the jugular. Asante has way too much baggage to be trying to argue with actual legends of the game. If it wasn't Asante I'd even say Revis went overboard.

But since it's Assante it's justified. :coffee:

I am kind of intrigued. One guy is already headed to Canton, another is either highly overrated or highly underrated (depending on whose opinion you ask), and the other is almost out of football. I would imagine we'll experience a wide range of emotion from 3 players in very different stages of their career.
 
i was never a huge fan of samuel as a player but his being the bitter bitch that he is suggests that he is hiding some regret for leaving or something by posturing. the opposite of love is indifference,not hate.

Samuel has to live forever with dropping a perfect pass to him and costing his team a Super Bowl.

You don't get into any HOF for losing, unless you break every freakin' record for your position.
