Andrew Luck was sacked 108 times through the first 52 games of his career .
Joe Burrow has been sacked 148 times through the first 52 games of his career (not including playoffs)
Is this cause for alarm?
For reference, Tua Tagovailoa who is from Joe Burrows draft class has been sacked 75 times through the first 45 games of his career.

It led to Luck getting injured a lot and quitting the game early. High pressure/sack rate probably led to the ruination of David Carr's career. It got Cassel sped up in K.C. to the point where he just couldn't function under pressure after a while. It's killing Jones in New England.

So, sure, it could be a problem for Burrow moving forward. This is already multiple seasons where he'll miss a bunch of games, and not finish the year, and taking more of a pounding isn't going to help that.

Cinci drafted Tee Higgins in the 2nd round after selecting Burrow #1 overall in 2020 and then took Chase with the #5 overall pick in 2021. They did select 3 OL from round 2 and onward in 2021, and they would end up as SB runners-up that season. (Would they have if they traded out of the 5 pick, snagged more OL help and a lesser weapon than Chase? Don't know and it's a fair argument)

But then they took only one OL in the 2022 draft (4th round) and not a single one in this year's draft. They have signed some depth pieces for the OL over the past couple of years and they made a splash this year by bringing in Orlando Brown. But by and large, they hit the home run of actually finding "the guy" at QB and it's been a turnstile since day 1. They have enough shiny sports cars in the driveway. Don't understand why they haven't put up a proper fence.

Congrats to all JETE fans, Tim Boyle is your new starting QB.
I mean, you think we have it bad,

Imagine you're a Jets fan, haven't won a championship since before man walked on the moon, and you finally get giddy as you have a decent team and you've bagged Aaron Rodgers at QB! Finally, you, think, the gods are smiling on us! All that suffering and pain was not for nothing! It was paving the way for this!

And then...Rodgers, after a few snaps, is out for the season, Wilson collapses, and your QB for the rest of the season is Tim Boyle.

I mean........you have to have SOME sympathy for the Jets fans surely????
