I watched some of that ridiculous awards show on & off. I noticed that BB used it as a good recruiting opportunity by sporting all of his SB rings. I also thought it was nice that he took his granddaughter with him:)

I can't believe he let his granddaughter dress like that in public! maybe she snuck it in her backpack and put it on in the car the way we used to do when we wanted to wear things that our parents didn't want us to.😄

Eli's stats overall are better than John Elway's stats. Just sayin...
I hear you but he played in his brother's pussy ass passing league the entire time he was playing. His team was usually blessed with a great running back and a pretty good online. And a very crushing defense in 2007. he led the league in turnovers multiple years. on top of that he was never even a top 5 quarterback at any point in time that he was playing. He did make some big plays in key moments and have some decent playoff games so I don't take any of that away from him. Not a huge elway fan either. I'm just sick to death of quarterbacks getting 99% of the credit for everything.

An interesting exercise is to use the pro-football-reference.com player comparison tool and select Sterling Sharpe and Stanley Morgan.

It's difficult to believe that "unbiased" experts think there's enough room in the HoF for Sharpe, but not for Morgan.
There's such a traffic jam on the outside looking in at Canton at the WR position. Morgan is absolutely deserving based on his production during his era, but he is plagued by the fact he wasn't already inducted 20+ years ago. I am not sure if he ever gets in now. Sad if that turns out to be the case.

I have no issue with Sterling Sharpe. Football is the one sport where I will throw out the "how long did he do it for' factor when you put up video game numbers every season over an injury-shortened career. If Terrell Davis is in, Sterling Sharpe is equally deserving. He's still top 100 all-time in receptions in only 7 seasons and he played before all of the rule changes. If he plays 7 more seasons, he's got a good shot at being a top 3 all-time receiver across the board. He was a baaaaaaad man.

I understand your position, and I agree. Based on the Terrell Davis precedent, Sharpe too should be in the HoF.

Good post. (y)

Also, Allen over Lamar Jackson and Saquon Barkley for MVP is an absolute fucking joke.

Barkley was the MVP, if you're committed to giving it to a QB, Jackson had better numbers across the board.
