I would have been happy to get Metcalf for a second round pick. Isn't that what we sent to Miami for Wes Welker?
And paying WR1 money to a WR1 is just what is happening in the NFL today.
I'd rather have the draft pick.
Not a fan of Metcalf because he is so emotional he takes himself out of the game.

This is my concern with Metcalf, that we would be an issue in the locker room. Vrable wouldn’t take any shit but we don’t need that battle going on
Looked at Steelernation forums and many were commenting on his attitude and how pickens would react to all this, plus currently no QB

Metcalf is barely a WR1. It’s good they let Pittsburgh jump on that. Offhand can think of at least 15 guys I’d take over Metcalf. He’s not going to move the needle for Pitt. They will still be hanging around or just barely above .500 next year.
Spend the resources on getting the line fixed and an RB who has some burst and can make PA a credible threat.

Would have been fine with the acquisition for a 2nd rounder. Would have lost my mind if they turned around and gave him 5/$150 mil.
Steelers better have a real plan at QB.
Can someone who is smarter than me (which is each and every one of you) explain this to me? Bills are close to cap jail and this doesn't have appeared to have opened up oodles of cash for them. Their defense is pretty meh now so this definitely does not make the Bills better for 2025.
