An unnamed NFL exec said yesterday that he believes the Niners will sign Brady and trade Lance and have Purdy as the back up. That would be the best situation for Brady and the Niners IMO.

It makes a lot of sense for Brady to finish up in a situation that perfect for him. That offense wastes him to some extent, but I'm sure Kyle could adjust to use him well. They don't have much for cap space/flexibility, but it's not impossible.

Very good interview with Tom Brady and Rich Eisen here. He's definitely done, I think we all knew that. But He's still so damn driven, he will excel in the broadcast booth as he just knows no other gear, he doesn't do laid back or easy going.

He's very excited about coming back here by the way for the opener, and hopes he can bring us luck against the Eagles.
