Random Thoughts

I appreciate your input Chevs.

I guess based on where they thought the pain was coming from they x-rayed the spine to rule out tumor etc and we were told results were negative.

The gabapectin was prescribed a few weeks back and was working. We had a neurological consult at that time. I guess if this doesn't resolve an MRI is next?
Waiting on the blood work results.

Our pup is in pain today still. :(

He does have DCM and we give him taurine daily.
When he was younger and having skin issues we were told to switch to a grain free diet. What a mistake.

We make certain to ask every client at every visit about diet and caution everyone about grain free diets. Blue Buffalo should be sued unmercifully for starting that craze.
Hopefully he's had a full echocardiogram and has a specialist/cardiologist monitoring his progress. Big strides have been made in cardiac care the last 10 years. Abnormal beats can cause weakness and lethargy intermittently. 24 hour Holter monitors can detect these.

What about anemia --> splenic hematomas are very common in labs --> sluggishness and can die suddenly from massive bleed outs.

Does he have rear leg foot placing deficits? If he turns quickly or if you try to make him back up does he flop on the ground? That could be an important sign of degenerative myelopathy of the posterior spinal cord. Very common. The neurologist would have picked that up. If he can back up 3 steps when you pull back on his collar it's not that.

My very best wishes, AOT.

Thanks.

No on any backing up problems. Right now we are supposed to keep him resting. Easy so far as he doesn't feel like getting up.
Hopefully will learn more today but thank you for questions to ask.

Recently had a general manager leave/new one promoted from within. I usually don't expect much changes, especially from within but the new GM is doing things I think are great. He is redoing his whole corner office, bringing it out of the 70's with painted paneling, new lights and floor. He is also a manager that has always been a get things done. While his office was being worked on today, he was painting the studio floor. He has plans to update the buildings lights, floors, walls, etc.. I'm surprised but happy to see also.

Normal school day routine trying to get Elizabeth ready. Get her up and fight with her to wake up for 30 minutes plus. Keep that in mind. Today, I wake up and get ready for church. Olivia is sick so she wasn't going (along with Sarah obviously). I walk out of the bedroom to both kids sleeping on Sarah. I say I'm going to church. Elizabeth wants to go. I tell her if she can get ready in five minutes she cans. She jumps off Sarah and is ready in six minutes. I mean, changes clothes, Sarah brushes her hair and is in her seat buckled in six minutes. I was shocked, haha.

Now he is having the lighted letters that never worked on the front of the building fixed. Got to say, Liking him pretty good. Sure, it is little things being fixed but it shows he cares about how the building looks.

Typical holiday when you work in television and your wife is a nurse, you never know what will happen. Add in kids and you definitely not know what will happen. This year was my wife's year to not work, but a coworker of mine took the day off so I got put on to work (holiday plus overtime, 2.5x pay =31.25 an hour for eight hours, tomorrow is 2x pay = 25 an hour for eight hours). Then yesterday my five year old got a cold/cough. Today ended up being do laundry before work day, especially after my five year old threw up. I did three complete loads and had a load in the dryer and one in washer when I left. It has gotten to a point that work is now my relaxing with kids at home. Only slightly annoyed at another coworker today when I found work that he put in the completed folder but wasn't. At least I knew to look for it.

Question... the scent Patchouli... like or not?

First time I came across it was in college... roomie had a girl over.

Anyway wifey scrubbed her face with the same scent... I like it now, didn't back in college.

Just amazing how powerful that scent is, I can smell it on my hands and I didn't even touch her. An hour later.

Ageeing with you, i guess.
going to bed now.

Heh, my best friend wears it sometimes and I can't stand it. Think she does it just to bug me when she does. Smells like what I would imagine cow piss smells likes or dirty hippy, take your pick. :p

Isn't that hippy oil?

Groovy man...this stuff is like, primo. It's way above my bread line though, you dig? The man wants to head-trip your mellow.

Let your freak flag fly and if it feels good, do it!
