ROFL LOL smileys

It is difficult to use the ROFL and LOL smileys because the forum software discourages ALL-CAPS typing. Can we just change smileys to be all lowercase to circumvent the contradiction (or modify the software, whichever makes more sense)?

Do you mean when the only thing you want to post is the smiley and you can't because it is all caps?

That may be it. I thought I tried something else as well and had the same result, but if that is the fix I can put some random text in there to make it work.
