Stidham to Raiders

Why? You got a legitimate backup QB for a few years and got something back for him on the way out the door. Better than most picks at the end of round 4.
He wasn't a legit backup. He was injured a ton and when Cam stunk in 2020, he was never inserted because Bill thought Cam gave the team a better chance. He was a bust for where he was picked and the "value" provided. Glad Bill was at least able to dump him for something to Josh. LOL

He was traded instead of cut. Thus, at least two groups of professional NFL talent assessors thought he was a legit backup at minimum.

I nominate Mazz for the most overuse use of the word 'disaster' (and by extension - 'disastrous').

Example:

The Patriots today traded/cut/signed/didn't sign/drafted/didn't draft Player.

What a disaster! - Mazz, probably.

I wouldn't know. Ignore is such a wonderful feature.

too lazy to look up the raiders QB depth chart, but good luck to him.

Just learned the Pats gained $1M in cap space with this trade.
I think that maybe you were looking at his cap number. His cap savings was 965,000 and he was replaced by someone making just a bit less, so the cap space created can only buy a used Tesla.

See below from Miguel's Twitter:

The Jarrett Stidham trade created $70,000 in cap space as a player with a $895K will replace Stidham’s salary on the Top 51 list.
