Good morning everyone :)

Wife and kids left for some vacation time with the family and should be heading to the OBX sometime this week.

So for the next three weeks I am a bachelor again

Hola everyone, I hope the day is awesome for you all. Be safe as well. Going into our 2nd week of constant rain, lightning and thunderstorms. Joy. Jasper hates thunder so a lot of hold me, love me, make it stop mom and if you can't make it stop than hold me, pat me, love me.

Love OBX. Go their every couple of years in September.

To be quite honest, I am not sure where my mother-in-law rented the beach house. They're going on Monday and will be staying in Maryland until then.

Flight went well and kids behaved, so I am proud of them. Unrelated, but I sort of miss having air condition. The heat here is sweltering, despite it only being in the low 90's or upper 80's.

Love fishing out of Manchese. If they had a better hospital I would think about retiring there.
 
Good news, a month ago I posted a friend was in Ohio with her supposed baby she was going to adopt, the birth mom even used the name my friend picked out. Then she decided to keep it. She just posted that on Saturday she texted the mother to wish the baby a happy month old. Hours later the mother texted back, said she said that the baby was meant to be with her and to come get her ASAP. The baby is at her home in respite until paper work can be signed.

Car is in the shop after someone backed into it.

Last night it poured hurricane-style rains for a while.

This morning I see we accidentally left the sunroof open on the rental... fuck.
 
Heatwave continues here, but we had about 3 minutes of rain earlier, which was both nice and needed.

Other than that I'm just milling about trying to get used to not having kids around for the first time in roughly five years.
