The 2023 AFC East

The "sense of urgency" in the Jets building is not really an ideal atmosphere. So what happens if they don't get off
to a fast start? Panic? That is not as unlikely as it might seem if they can't protect Rodgers. He's an older guy and not as
quick as he once was and a lot of people are concerned about that or will be when Mekhi Becton goes down with
his annual IR.

What if Rodgers doesn't have a good time this season? Will he decide to cut his losses? Imagine the resultant
donnybrook over there. I believe that any of the 4 teams in the East could finish in any of the available spots. Nobody
can know until the games are played and there are opinions all over the map. I don't know of a more competitive division
in the league, at least in terms of overall strength.

Rodgers history has shown that when things are not going well he turtles. It could definitely go south fast for the Jete. I think their overall roster is pretty good, especially their defense but their Oline similar to us is going to be hard to overcome all season IMO. I would imagine the plan is to get out to early leads and let the defense do its thing.

I haven't followed his career closely, but I've seen recent examples of him taking a consistent pummeling and standing in there and
that led me to believe he is, at least situationally, in key/playoff games, a pretty tough hombre. Still, that isn't a formula to last
for an entire season at his age. If he has a reasonably clean pocket then they will be hard to beat.

He's never been booed by a home NJ crowd and targeted by the NY media. Picture this: they split their first two games (on the road) and come home for week 3 against NE. The defense has been stellar, and Rodgers has had some great moments, but been generally good.

The Patriots bait him into some bad picks and beat the Jets 23-10. The home crowd, having not beaten the Patriots since 2015, starts to lay into him, and he starts to get hammered by the NY press. He tells the Jets press room that they need to "R-E-L-A-X."

How do you think that goes for him?

Not well.

In fact, based on my online degree in street psychology from Ersatz State and from watching Hard Knocks ep. 2 last night, there is a chance that
entire team could have bad vibes if they don't win and win right away, not just ARodg, but, sure......he's going to be under some very hot
lights.

I base this on similar teams whose coaching staff did/does a ton of woofing and seems to specialize more in testosterone than
actual football. Rex Ryan's teams tended to be good early and then burn out. Parcells' guys could only listen to his stuff for so long and
then tuned him out. I've heard variations on that a hundred times.

I think it's a good policy to let the players determine who their leaders are and let them decide when to go on a profanity-laced
tirade and you don't need to hear it from every coach on the staff. It's a long season and you can only stay in a bloodthirsty frenzy for so
long before you just get tired of it and wander off in search of cheese curls. If they think NFL teams are going to be afraid to play
them.........ummm......nope.

Ulbrich, their DC, might be a good X and O guy, but all I've seen so far is him talking about MF this and bitch that. I'm pretty sure it's
abbreviated on the wall of their meeting room in letters 4 feet high. He's like the dude in every prison movie that tells the fresh meat
they need to fight the toughest guy they can find the first day or they're done. The guy is a bit over the top if you ask me.

Sure, they have a lot of potential, but I can't decide if it's really real or just a lot of hot air.

It doesn't help that the Jests opening row to hoe won't be an easy one with their O Line.
