The 2026 Draft

I've got to think that players appreciate coaching even, if they're not even on the team ...(Or between the lines )

I’d be more optimistic if his work with Campbell had resulted in a trade down from 4……….

I hope Vrable coaches the Pats for a long time, but this stuff means nothing.

That's something that we have not heard from you.

If we forget the other 186 times that you have posted the same thing.

I actually like a lot of the tackles that may be available at the end of the first. More than the edge guys projected to be available in that range.

How does this WR class stack up to previous WR draft classes?
Here's a good way to see it, imo.
Vertical axis measures yardage production; horizontal axis measures points expected to be scored.

Now you see why Lemon is so universally liked as a top 20 pick. You also see why I like Sarratt later in the draft for the Pats although we know nothing of intangibles which could change everything. If Wolf follows the GB mold for WRs, he'll pick a blue-collar WR who is versatile enough to play every WR position. That's not Sarratt who is an X or a flanker. If Wolf follows that GB mold, Tyson, Tate, Skyler Bell and Cooper follow that tradition well, although I see them as 2nd round picks. Because of the lack of talent at the top, many mocks are overvaluing 2nd rnd talent into the 1st round. (McAlister falls because he held someone up at gunpoint.)

You can readily see there's no Jamar Chase, JSN, Waddle or M Harrison Jr. talents in this draft. That doesn't mean there won't be productive WRs from this class, it just means your
chances of hitting on a star are not great.
How many 1st round WRs 'hit'? (WR1 within 3 years of being drafted)
Since 2016, receivers taken in picks 1-10 have a 75% hit rate & 11-32 have a 27% hit rate.

What players do you think are worthy of the 31st pick, so your not repeating the same :deadhorse: posts? We all know the O-line, WR and Edge are the biggest priorities entering the draft.

Despite my reaction to that Vrable video, I’d be very happy with Max Iheanachor at 31. It will suck typing out that name on a regular basis, but I’d be really happy if they get him.
I don’t like drafting Tackles who have a high floor and no ceiling. Max is the opposite of that. Great measurables, and the Pats have some great oline coaches. If Max is there I hope he’s the pick.
I hope they pass on Blake Miller.
I don’t like the edge guys, or WRs at the end of round 1. Not so much I don’t like them, but the players who will likely be available at those positions are the top end of a tier that runs to the end of the 2nd/top of the third.
If the Pats miss out on Max, I like Freeling. Maybe trade back a bit, get freeling at the top of the second, use that ammo to trade higher up into the 2nd and 3rd round. It’s hard to say where these OTs will be drafted. It seems like the rankings and peoples opinions vary quite a bit.

I've only seen Freeling earlier in the 1st, I think.

I like both Miller and Iheanachor, but I prefer Miller. Your post implies that Miller doesn't have a high ceiling? Or do you not like him for a different reason?

I don’t think Miller has the ceiling of Iheananchor. I need to look more at Freeling.
I’d still prefer Miller over the WRs who will be available at the back of the first. I prefer him over the pass rushers in that range as well.
Specialized pass rushers will be available in the second and 3rd rounds this year. Ditto with pass catchers .
Tackles who can be decent starters one day…….. I think they need to get one of those guys at the back of the first.

Will you please give it a rest and stop polluting EVERY single friggin' thread with these retread posts? This is the 2026 daft thread and you're "replying" to a subtopic about Vrabel being a hands-on coach.

There are three threads that address Campbell and if IRCC you said you would post Campbell stuff only in those threads. You're lucky I'm not a mod...okay, the whole forum is probably better off with me not being a mod...but if I was a mod, I'd ban you from every thread you troll like this.

Just block me. You take offense to everything.
I was responding to a topic of Vrable mixing it up with Oline prospects. It’s probably counterproductive to his evaluation process doing it at 50 years old in a vest, and yeah I don’t think it helped last year when deciding what to do with the 4th overall pick.
And I love Max at 31.

These are well done, imo.

Wake up, it's draft month!!!
Hard for me to get excited. Stupid Vrabel. It's his fault. It's been fun looking at high draft prospects the past couple of years. Now we're back to the old days of picking 31 or 32. BO-RING

I'm still having fun looking for late round/UDFA binkies, though.

You take offense to everything.
I find that offensive.... :celebrate:

Seriously, though, there is an old 12-step adage that goes something along the lines of,
The first time you tell people something, you are informing them
The second time you say the same thing you are making sure they heard you
The third, fourth and fifth times you are badgering them

You keep saying the same thing over and over, hundreds of time in tens of threads, not to inform us of something we hadn't heard umpteen times, but just annoy us.

Don't believe me?

Scroll up in this (2026 draft) thread to post #189 where you re-visit the 2025 draft with the SOS so obnoxiously that a mod replied with:

Don't take the bait, guys.

Please.

Rivshark, the below video should start itself at the 88-second spot. Watch for a minute or two, until 3:00. You are lockergnome:

Been going deep on TEs, mostly focusing on the later guys. A contact connected me with some film to review on some of them that were harder to get. I'll post some stuff over the next couple of days.

You know, assuming I can avoid being OBE as usual.

I like Dallen Bently from Utah as a mid round TE
Would love to hear your take (y)
