Right, but isn't creepy to know why? Because they let the media tell them that and the more it gets repeated, they just assume the reason to hate BB is a good one. Yet, the opposite is the reality. We could have Trey Lance, Fields or Wilson right now, for example.
We have just seen a second dynasty, we have a rookie QB playing well off a pandemic, weird season that has an asterisk next to it in NFL annals that no one will really take seriously as a real season anyway, and this team is pretty close to righting the ship.
I mean it's not like we haven't seen this team at 2-2 in Sept before or giving up some higher point games early in seasons and that's even happening with this team right now. Just need to iron out some early season warts, as we always do. It's just because some people actually believe one guy who played QB played all the positions and was the GM and because he was all smiley at the podium and buddied up to beat reporters, that means BB is a big meanie and bad at his job.
People from outside NE think these people are creepy to have all this success presented to them, and you know what? They're right! It is creepy. I know a lot of people who come to Boston for business and are dumbfounded at what they hear on sports radio and read in the papers and I just tell them it's the worst media in the country and has been since Ted Williams came to Boston. It's how they make money, riling up the fans who are dumb enough to take the cheese. This is like hating Red Auerbach or Glenn Sather in Edmonton in the 80s with the Oilers, or hating Brian Cashman as a Yankees fan in the 1990s. It patently makes no sense.
What BB built from top to bottom TWICE in 20 years, is historical of epic proportions and fans hate the man who is responsible for it? Can't be made up. Can't!
