Ode to Joy! Ludwig of course

Always have loved that. Worth being here own it's own merits, but this is special. Raises an "art form" to the next level.

Really cool find, Tip

I like Puccini and love Callas.

These Aria's are from Turandot. A bit of the Signor ascolta, ascolta signor was played in one of the Inspector Morse Episodes. Morse was of course a big opera buff.

Signor Ascolta, Ascolta Signor

Tu che di gel sei cinta

I'm a sucker for an emotional aria.

This is Amira Willighagen singing O Mio Babbino Caro. She was 10 when this was recorded. She won Holland's Got Talent when she was 9.

And here she is a couple of years later showing her sense of humor. She reminds me of Jackie Evancho. Both began young & both are self taught. I'm a fan of both.

She's been getting formal training since HGT and it shows. Youtube has a short documentary done a few months ago. It shows a 12 year old doing her best to be a kid. We don't give much thought to the demands that are put on these kids.
I'm fascinated by these child prodigies. You should look up Angelina Jordan who won Norway's Got Talent when she was 7 by singing American classics. She was on Little Big Shots last year (at 9) singing Fly Me to the Moon.

Keeping on track, another favorite of mine is Scheherazade by Rimsy-Korsakov.

Preface: I'm only a grammar spelling syntax nazi when I think I can amuse myself. And Tia for paying no attention. Feel free to reciprocate. Anyway...

Pretty flimsy effort? K? :dbanana:

Cheers, :toast:

You expect me to know how to spell all those Russian names?

I asked you to pay no attention but obviously that very advice is what you paid no attention to. :dbanana::dbanana::dbanana:

Another Morricone offering, this time performed beautifully on a theremin.

Great guitar translation of Prokofiev
