Title: Ciaccona
Composer: Francesca Caccini

I don't usually enjoy classical music with harpsichord accompaniment, but I do like this piece.

Caccini was born in 1587, and this piece was composed in 1618, which places it in the early Baroque period.

Title: Jupiter, The Bringer Of Jollity
Composer: Gustav Holst

I heard this on the radio this morning, and thought it was worth posting, as John Williams just turned 90 last month.

If you only listen to one classical music piece this month, consider making this one your choice.

I stumbled on this Solo Album, (Carolan's Receipt) of the great Irish harpist Derek Bell (of the Chieftains fame) way back in 1971. It is a compilation of Turlough O' Carolan's most famous and melodic compositions. Carolan was Blind Harpist who wandered Ireland for some fifty years, composing and playing his harp during the 18th century. Loved it instantly. Its great Music for playing during a nice dinner and will be Played as always om the 17th of the month with the traditional (us at least) boiled dinner.

Really nice music. Though not true traditional classical music, there are strong hints throughout.

For those of you that enjoyed the movie "The Green Book" but may not have heard the piece referenced in one of its best scenes.

Title: Adiemus
Composer: Karl Jenkins

Karl Jenkins is a contemporary of Mike Oldfield, and has collaborated with him in the past. He too is a multi-instrumentalist.

Adiemus is his best-known composition.

Title: Fanfare For The Common Man
Composer: Aaron Copland
Performance: Emerson, Lake & Palmer

I have also posted ELPs cover of Hoedown in the nostalgic music thread.
Love this so much, I didn't even object when Obama borrowed it for his Inauguration (please pardon the politicism no offense intended).

Cheers
