That is what they call the final four teams of the NCAA Hockey Tourney
Starting off there are 16 teams and it's single elimination. I like this better that the NHL playoffs because it single elimination.

I know that there are some hockey fan here. There are 8 teams from NE in the tourney this year.

Ah, interesting. I was going to ask if anyone in the "South" played (ice) hockey. Presumably it being a mostly Northern game is down to tradition, from when it was played outdoors, or is that still a thing?
