The sub 100 round has eluded me once again. I started out strong on the front with a 47 but then I fell victim to the beer on the back and finished with a 103.

What did you shoot for the 9 holes when the beer was helping? It his usually from about 4-13 or 5-14 for me. Same with pool and darts. Get comfortable, play well and then bam!
 
Hate to talk about myself,BUT I shot a 39 this morning on a tough course.
I'm limited to 9 right now because of hip bursitis. I could complain about a couple of rimmed putts. But I also got a couple of friendly kicks.

2- Talk about yourself. People here don't do it enough. Don't be shy.
 
Scottie showed that he was human yesterday at the first round of the Memorial. He was -2 going into the back 9 with the leaders at -5.
Then he hit one into the water and screwed up a couple of more time for a +2 round.
This is Jack Nicholas tournament a one of the big money events.

In local news, I shot a 44 yesterday but felt like I played better that the last time when I shot a 39. I had to hack my way out of tall thick grass on one hole which cause several very bad words to flow from my mouth.
 
Wyndham Clark rubbed some salt in the wound for Canadians at the Rink Hole (Canadian Open) on Saturday.
He made birdie while wearing a Jack Hughes Team USA hockey sweater. You might remember,
Hughes was the one who scored the golden goal for the Americans against Canada in the Olympic hockey final.

Congrats to Bud Cauley for winning the Canadian Open. He has had a very tough road to his first win. Always good to see an American win another country's open.
This week is the US Open.
 
US Open round 1 has started today after an hour fog delay. You can catch all the action on USA network.
I realize that it's not as exciting as watching FIFA matches play to 0-0 draws.
 
That golf course reminds me of the links type course that I play frequently. The only difference is that there doesn't seem to be any water hazards at Shinnecock Hills which is very unusual.
 
I have never seen professionals miss so many short putts as I have today. I only been watching it off and on. The US Open is supposed to be hard. But that course is making the best in the world look average.
 
Yesterday I decided to play a round on the spare of the moment.
I went to the course and got paired with 3 guys from Lowell MA. At first, I thought that I should have put my small hand gun in my bag. :lecture: :D
They turned out to be really good guys to play with. They even drove their carts normally, unlike regular Mass drivers.:rofl:
The Travelers Championship is this week. It's the last $20,000,000 event of the year before the British Open and then the Fed Ex playoff.
There are 14 players on the leaderboard all within a stroke of each other after round 1.
 
I was supposed to be at The Wichita Open right now but mother nature said otherwise. So now I'm at home watching Miami Vice until they tee off at 2:00. This is my first PGAish event and my friend scored us party deck passes on the 17th hole. All you can eat and drink I took this delay as an opportunity to waterproof my shoes.

I thought that being from the Lowell area that they would do something like that, but they didn't.
