Massive FedEx Cup bonuses get dished out Sunday at BMW Championship

The PGA Tour's 2026 FedEx Cup bonuses are massive, and those payouts will be determined on Sunday after this week's BMW Championship.

These are the bonses to be paid out depending on a players final ranking.
Scottie has the $22 million 1st place bonus locked up. I don't know how much his caddie gets from that.
This is in addition to the prize money to be won this week and next week.

Doesn’t this tourney have some kind of strokes thing were higher ranked players got an advantage? Started x under par or am i thinking of something else? Is whoever wins this one tourney the fed ex cup champ even if they were the lowest ranked that made it?

Not this year. They awarded big bonuses to the players after last week's standings were confirmed.
This week there is $40 million that will be awarded to the 30 players according to where they finish on Sunday.

The Michigan state, Michigan, and Oakland University courses near us here in Michigan are all fantastic, but also open to the public via membership. Probably the same there.

It doesn't look as if the golf course would cost anywhere near that much.
The facilities, which they will probably use for upscale banquets, weddings, and other functions, looks like most of the cost.

Yeah, it looks like the buildings took up most of the cost. It can't cost that much to build a course in Alabama, where I'm sure land isn't that expensive. Unless it's difficult soil and needed a lot of work done before the landscaping, etc.

Absolutely. That is 100% in line with what happens here. My buddy got married at MSU. My daughter and fiancé were scheduled to go to OU (Oakland U) to get a tour of the facilities today, but it sounds like she and her fiancé saw the facility the like yesterday and canceled the visit. That matters to nobody else on here but me. And the 3rd venue was Michigan (fiancé in a Wolverine and daughter is a Spartan) 😰. It is funny and not golf-related, so indulge me, I spent 30+ years negotiating multi-million-dollar agreements with high-level people all over the globe. Yet, I folded like a pup tent when she said "Dad, what is our budget?" Whatever makes her happy.:tears-of-joy:

The golf course that I normally play at has a wedding chapel. I've heard the average cost is $25,000.

Is that just the facility? Between my last post on this and this one I got the estimate for food and beverage (only) from my daughter. It is a good thing I started preparing for this day a decade ago! Her fiancé is Italian and they have a HUGE family. His side alone is ~200 guests. We will be around 100. I am chuckling as I type this. Now I have added a slight shake of the head. :p LOL.
