Seeing that those of us close to the Maine coast are all going to die on Sat. I played 18 yesterday. And I have a tee time to play 18 today.
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Having a good breakfast effects the way that you play the entire round. Make sure that you grab a couple of hot dogs on the turn. What a shit time to start having insomnia. Fell asleep at 11:00. Woke up at 3:00 and then again at 3:45 and then ,4:00. Finally said to hell with it and got out of bed and took a shower even though I wasn't even supposed to be up until 5:15. Just had a cold slice of pizza and a bowl of BooBerry/FrankenBerry cereal and I guess I'm ready to start this golf adventure. I predict an early bedtime for me.
All I'm gonna say is that you were a few strokes off.Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Having a good breakfast effects the way that you play the entire round. Make sure that you grab a couple of hot dogs on the turn.I see a low 80's round in your future.
It doesn't make any difference what we have for breakfast this morning here on the Maine coast. We are all going to die today. Just saw a report and those on Cape Cod are also going to die.
PS I made a tee time for tomorrow morning just incase I make it.
What are they trying to prove? 249 is unheard of for a par 3 and I've played many courses in many different states. All I'm gonna say is that you were a few strokes off. That was the toughest courses I have ever played. Our buddy played from the tips and he has a 269 yard par 3. It was 249 for us mere humans on the other tee box.

LMAO. There is a hole at the course that I play the most. It's a double water hole. You hit over water from the tee box hopefully to a landing area about 200 yards. The the next shot is over the second pond about 135 from the uphill green.THAT was a tough weekend. I don't care if I ever play at Jimmie Austin again but I was happy that my buddy got to play at one of his bucket list courses and shoot a great round (73). The second day was much easier. It was a bit of a culture shock. We went from a really classy golf course to somewhat of a hillbilly golf course that was owned by a casino. Dudes walking around in cut off t-shirts with their dogs riding shotgun. People just talking at the top of their lungs in what sometimes seemed like a foreign language with absolutely no regard for the people trying to tee off on the tee box next to them. I did play much better on Sunday but probably lost my cool more than I should have. I did manage one of the shots of the weekend. It was my fourth shot (first one was lost in the trees). I was 132 out with water right in front of me. I pulled out my 8 iron and proceeded to scald the shit out of it. As it headed for the water I let out a huge "FUCK!!" only to watch it skip cleanly off of the water, land on the fringe and then slowly roll straight for the cup. It missed by a couple inches and stopped about a foot past the cup but it made for an easy and exciting bogey.
Start wearing cut offs and tank tops. Borrow a dog.THAT was a tough weekend. Forgot to ask, what did he get on the back 9?THAT was a tough weekend. I don't care if I ever play at Jimmie Austin again but I was happy that my buddy got to play at one of his bucket list courses and shoot a great round (73).
No, that was legit 18 holes playing from the tips. Now me on the other hand...Forgot to ask, what did he get on the back 9?
The womans Ryder Cup thingy is going on this weekend. Us leads 5-3 after day one. Day 2 starts at about 2AM. Have to remember to check it out tomorrow morning before my 8:45 tee time.I will record each match and have to remind myself not to check in the golf thread so that I don’t know what’s going on when I watch it afterwards.
It's not looking good for US right now.Right now the American women are on top of the European women.
Oops, they are now tied up together.
