The Golf thread

I found out yesterday that I’m going to be playing the Masterpiece at Tree Tops in June during a boys only golf trip. Played it yet? I Googled it and the course looks spectacular. I can’t wait to lose a box of balls there.
That's in Michigan. I bet aloyouis has intimate knowledge of that course.

Yep. Just wasn’t sure if you played it before. @aloyouis have you?
I have! Tree Tops is a wonderful "up north" complex. I imagine you are playing more than just the one course? We play three over a Friday afternoon Saturday Sunday morning weekend. Try to play the masterpiece on Saturday morning and then play ThreeTops afterwards. Really fun par three course with huge elevation changes on almost every hole.

The facility is decent. You go there for the tracks.

We are still trying to plan it. The group chat doesn’t last long until everyone starts verbally abusing one another. We’ll be there four days. What’s your recommendation?

The masterpiece and two of the others would be fine. The key is getting that three top in after your Saturday morning round. I kid you not some of the drops are crazy. It's super fun and usually by the time you're done playing your morning 18, lunch, and a couple of cocktails, three tops is ridiculously fun! Don't get me wrong. The other courses are gorgeous as well and certainly out class three tops from a purely golf aesthetic. I just really enjoyed that extra nine holes on Saturday. I'm sure I have pictures. I'll see if I can find them.

You can tell that Tiger is rusty. I'm sure that he has played p,envy of practice rounds. But there is a big difference when playing a competitor tournament.
It's like the difference between preseason and regular season games.

Breaking News: Jon Rahm has joined the LIV. He was one of the most vocal critics of the LIV, until he wasn't. He can go f himself with a sand wedge.

Today is the finals of a tournament with PGA & LPGA player on teams. Never realized that Nelli Korda was so tall. Will be checking in during g commercials of the football games.
Next week, I believe is a father-son tournament. Will a now 14 year old Charlie and a more healthy Tiger finally win this one?
