Yikes - Scheffler finishes +5 might not make cut unless a lot more people choke worse (he's tied for 85th)
Well the cut line is at +5 so Scottie is in.
The guy that I want to win it is Tony Finau. This is the US Open, so I want an American to win it. Unless his name is Bryson DeChambeau, then let the Swede have it.

After day 3, Bryson DeChambeau, formerly an American, now representing the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, is in the lead.
Americans hopes rest on Patrick, The Tortious, Cantley.

Honestly, with the LIV stuff aside, DeChambeau seems like a cool dude. The crowd seemed to really be behind him and I liked how he was goofing around with them on the tee box about which club he was going to use.

Playing a Father's Day round with my buddy Patrick and our sons, Ethan and Connor. It has become a Father's Day tradition and Pat and I are on the wrong side of the scoring the last two years.

I have played 9 holes so far this year. Pat has played more but he is a football guy not a golf guy. Need to figure out how to pull off the big upset. The boys booked the course and are paying which has a weird feel. This place is new a the clubhouse is incomplete so it is BYOB/sandwiches. It is a heathland course modeled after the heathland courses in Scotland. Different than a links courses, I hope I fare better than I typically do on links courses.

Gonna have to make the mental side a big advantage.

WTF Rory, WTF.
No wonder you haven't won a major in 10 years. Choke artist, I could have made those 2 gimme putts.:cuss:
Maybe there a big Saudi check being
wired to the UAE then to an account in the Camen Islands.
Besides that, I don't care.

Does anybody have an opinion on Top Golf?

Played at one this past week for the first time with my wife. We went on a Tuesday morning which was half price.
All told the 2 hours of golf not including the drinks we purchased cost just over $40. This included a one time lifetime membership fee for each person of $5.

We played about 5 or 6 of the 15 different games available. We had a good time. The one thing I did notice is the amount of non golfers this place attracts.

Although this probably won't be a regular place I would visit.

I went once and wasn't much of a fan. I would rather just be out on a golf course getting my practice in.

Not a fan either.

Top golf is not golf. But if you are looking to have some fun with a small group of friend or relatives, then it's fine.
Went there with my daughter, her husband, and my wife. I was the only regular golfer but my expectations were not golf or even driving range. It’s more like a video game with computerized golf balls.

It in the mid 90's today the heat index is over 100. It is supposed to stay this way for the next 3 days.
I have a charity scramble tournament coming up this Thursday. I plan to have plenty of water with me and a wet towel that I'll put in the cart cooler.

My wife made me buy a hand held battery operated fan with a mist button. Has anyone used this while playing? Did it do any good?
It's not pink if anyone is thinking that.

When fishing on the ocean in hot weather I always carry a small 6 pack cooler with ice and water with a few face cloths. They work wonders.
The fan blowing mist should work ok.
