The Jazz Appreciation Thread

Some smooth jazz for a Sunday.

My first jazz album was Chase The Clouds Away by Chuck Mangione. Here's the title track.

Another favorite in this category is Icarus, which was written by Ralph Towner (founding member of the jazz group Oregon). The version on the album Common Ground by the Paul Winter Consort really captures the song's essence, IMHO.

Morning Dance by Spyro Gyra was a huge cross-over hit back when it debuted.

Another "off the beaten trail" group that showed up in my little town. Project Trio. They were incredible. If you go on youtube and search for beat box flute, you find a lot of Greg Pattillo. Very interesting.
