I know that the Jets are 5-2 and we are 3-4, it doesn't matter, the Jets suck.
They have sucked for 53 years and they suck now. Even their 1 championship was before the merger of the NFL and the AFL, so it has an *.
It means more to me that we beat the Jets twice than making the playoffs.
I hate the Jets. I hate their fans. They don't even have their own stadium. They don't even play in the state or city that they claim to represent.
Those are just a few of the reasons that the Jets suck.

Last night was disappointing and frustrating. Anyone who has been around football for a while knows that those things happen every once and a while.
Losing to the Jets is heartbreaking, big difference.

Don't hold back.

You sound like the Giants fans I was talking to at the game last week. Jets fans are the reason MetLife stops selling alcohol at halftime.

I'm concerned that Patriots fans are conceding that the Jets are relevant, nevermind concerning.

The reason why outer space is a vacuum is that the Jets suck so much.

We don’t care what Giants fans have to say.

the Jets will be relevant when they consistently win inside the division.

yeah, should have added "according to him" because I'm sure I would have heard something similar from a Jets fan

Over the last 2 decades or so, there have been many (a disproportionate number of) occasions when the Jets start out strong, then go into a tailspin after a loss to New England.

  • 2002: Jets come in 1-0 with a division win in which they put up 37 points. The Pats beat them 44-7, the first game of a 4 game skid where they TOTAL 38 points.
  • 2004: Jets come in at 5-0, lose, and are 6-3 a few weeks later. They pull it together and are 10-4 when they face NE again, and lose out to 10-6, backing into the playoffs when both the Bills and Ravens lose week 17 matchups.
  • 2007: Fresh of their 2006 playoff run with the ManGenius, the Jets host NE at home in week 1, lose, and roll to a 1-8 start.
  • 2010: Rexy's Jets beat NE early in the year and roll into Foxborough at 9-2, only to come out on the wrong end of a 45-3 drubbing to start a 1-3 stretch. In fairness, they held onto the wildcard that year and came back to Foxborough to beat the Patriots in the playoffs, but still.
  • 2012: Jets come in at 3-3, but with a 2-0 division record and hot off a 35-9 dismantling of a playoff Colts team, and The Sanchise (and future record-setting Patriot Nick Folk) leads them to 3 4th quarter scores and a 3 point lead with a minute and change remaining, before Brady leads the Patriots on a drive for Gostowski to tie it with zeros on the clock, followed by an overtime win. The Jets stumble to 4-7 before finishing 6-10.
  • 2015: Jets come into NE at 4-1 and take the lead in the 4th quarter before succumbing to 2 late TD drives, then rolling to 5-5 before righting the ship and ending 10-6.
  • 2017: Jets have a tough start, but come into Foxborough 3-2 with 3 straight wins before a loss sends them spinning to 4-7 and eventually 5-11.

...and considering that this excludes all the years over that span the Jets have been just terrible coming into the Pats game, those 7 of the last 20 years makes up more than half of the years where the Jets came into the game with hope, only to have their season ruined by Patriots.
