The Williams trade was for a 2026 2nd and 2027 1st, plus Mazi Smith. So apparently they prefer the 27 draft. For the 27 season they'll roll out Adonai Mitchell over the top of Wilson...with Jeremiah Smith opposite.

I’d be very happy if I were a jets fan. They sucked anyway and now have the draft capital to go get whatever QB they want and build around him.

And they have an excellent record of drafting QB's and developing them.
So yes, based on Mark Sanchez, Sam Darnald, and Zach Wilson picks, I'd be very happy if I were a Jets fan.
