I mean honestly, have you ever seen a more exciting highlight reel for a long snapper? I'm legitimately pretty damn stoked about this pick.

And I promise my last name isn't Cardona :coffee:

What about your mother's maiden name?

Is getting this guy in the 5th too early or too late? :stirpot:

No. Since it's the only long-snapper highlight reel I've ever actually seen. :coffee:

But, yes, awesome.

It was an understandable choice. Aiken had Ryan Allen in all kinds of s**t last season too many times. And it started with the first game in Miami remember? Allen got blocked in the 1st quarter, recovered by Miami and they scored their 1st TD.

He can. He could probably throw better than first-quarter-of-the-season Brady too.
But, if he ends up being the best LS in the history of the NFL some people will be critical of the selection for he was drafted 2 rounds too early.

Hey, Bill may also try to make a linebacker out of him. Slow but strong as hell and exact same size as Mayo. Looks like a LB to me. :hello:

How many LSers have even been drafted in NFL history?

Come on Dwight, context.

If you didn't draft a long snapper in the 5th, you wouldn't have been able to draft that blind linebacker in the 6th.

Edit: by the way, I believe the answer is 5.

I heard a rumor we're already targeting a 1 handed WR for next years draft.

Kid suffered an industrial accident in a hay baler.

2017 target is a NT missing a foot.

There were 2 this draft that I am aware of. Since many LS's also play other positions, my guess is plenty have been drafted over the years.

5.

In the history of the league.

With a military commitment.

Nah. 5th round sounds justa bout right.

Does that include Zak Deossie? He was a 4th round pick as a LB (and has played a few snaps at lb) but has played at long snapper since day one (2007) and continuing (128 straight games plus playoffs).

Like father like son, Steve brought him up to be a LS as a way to seperate himself from all the other mediocre linebackers.

I don't know. I just thought I heard the analysts talking about that when they were talking about the old guy from Texas who ended up getting signed by Seattle immediately after the draft.

My assumption is that number is limited to LS specialists.

Those ADA quotas seem to be getting out of hand.
