The Patriots 2023 Off Season

Bruh, was Eugene Chung busy or something?
What about Trevor Matich, the man who was going to re-invent the center position? We traded away the Jerry Rice pick to get him, so he must be good. He turned out to be a decent long snapper :coffee:

Those who can't do teach right.

There is also a chance that some of these candidates could come on board in lessor roles to better fill out the offensive staff.

Well, the Pats have interviewed a pair of WR coaches, an offensive line coach, and now a guy with experience in O’Brien.

Perhaps BB is putting together the bulk of an entire passing offense staff here.

Bill has jumped straight into this off-season; nobody can ever accuse him of slacking, that's for sure. Multiple interviews with a plethora of candidates for the offence, tying up Mayo, and sending his coaches to the Shrine and Senior Bowl, and he will be front and centre at pro days and the draft and he will be working like a dawg now for FA and current contracts of his players.

Not bad for a guy in his 70s is it.

This has got to be the fastest rise of any assistant under Belichick, isn't it? Playing career ends in 2016, his first coaching gig is 3 years later. 4 years as inside LB coach, last 1-2 as de facto co-DC. Now Asst HC and HC-in-waiting?

He isn't the first assistant to be given the Assistant HC title, I don't think it as much as an "in waiting", as more responsibility to keep him around longer.
